Lessons from June

June 2026

June was a test.

This month opened my eyes in ways I never expected. It reminded me that even the people you trust can cause damage behind your back. That realization hurt, but it also taught me to see people for who they truly are rather than who I hoped they would be.

This month tested my mental strength. There was a moment that almost pulled me back to a place I had worked so hard to escape. For a second, I could feel myself slipping into old thoughts and old pain. But I realized something important: I have come too far to let someone else’s actions determine my peace.

The biggest lesson I am taking with me is this: Never leave your power in another person’s hands. People will disappoint you. They may betray your trust, break promises, or fail to value your heart. But they do not get to control my healing, my happiness, or the direction of my life.

June reminded me that protecting my peace is not selfish, it’s necessary. I cannot control what others choose to do, but I can choose how I respond. I choose growth. I choose healing. I choose myself.

As I close this chapter, I leave behind the hurt, but I carry the lessons. I am walking into July wiser, stronger, and more determined to never lose myself trying to hold on to people who were never meant to hold my peace. 🦋
