What’s a lesson you’ve learned recently that shifted your perspective?
One lesson I’ve learned recently is that everyone doesn’t deserve unlimited access to me. I used to believe that if I loved people the right way, stayed loyal, and always showed up for them, they would do the same for me. Life taught me that’s not always true.
I’ve learned that protecting my peace isn’t selfish, it’s necessary. Boundaries aren’t about keeping people out; they’re about protecting the version of me I’ve worked so hard to become. I can’t control how people treat me, but I can control what I allow.
These days, I choose peace over proving my worth. I choose growth over staying where I’m not valued. And I’ve realized that the people meant for me will never make me question my value.
That lesson changed everything 🦋
